A week ago on Wednesday
we celebrated our
26th wedding anniversary.
26 years!
Doug and I married on
June 30, 1984.
I never wanted to be a June bride
but it worked out that I was
and I'm okay with that now.
We started a tradition
many, many years ago
of calling our wedding anniversary
our family's birthday
(because that's when our family was born)
This year Abbie made our
family birthday cake
complete with 26 candles!
(Have I said how great it is to have a daughter
who I'm able to pass the baton to?)
Before Doug and I went out on our date
we all sang to our family
and posed ourselves to blow out the candles.
It looks like not everyone got the memo.
Twenty six years of marriage
five wonderful children
tons of great memories.
Gotta love it!
