There is only one good reason for having a number written
in permanant marker
on one's leg.
A triathlon.
This is the third year our Celebration
has had a Kid's Triathlon.
The adult triathlon has been going strong for years
and some ambitious parents decided
the kids needed such an event also.
So they organized it.
Today Miss Abbie did the swim in the cool, early morning air
and semi dried off before hopping on her bike for the 3 mile ride
and transitioned for her 1 mile run
and even had enough reserve in her
to have a good dash to the finish line.
This is a great experience for these kids
and it is such a fun event with
lots of cheering and encouragement.
And always more fun to do with friends.
There were 70 or so kids who participated this year.
Winners, every one.
