Saving My Sanity

I can't keep this a secret any longer.

I've learned about a wonderful tool for women like me. Women who would prefer to think about other things than cooking meals three times a day. Women who know how important it is to cook healthful meals for their family. Women who believe in the importance of the family dinner table, but who don't necessarily like cooking.

And actually, it isn't the cooking part that I don't like. It is the thinking about cooking that is hard for me. Argh! Just thinking about the thinking makes me crazy.

I don't like to have to think about what to fix for dinner. I don't want to have to plan menus. I don't want to have to make a grocery list. I don't want to have to think about all this because there are other things I'd rather think about.

But I DO want to make yummy meals. I DO want to have family dinners. I DO want my family to eat healthful, home-cooked foods.

Oh, blessed saving-of-my-sanity-meal-planner-and-grocery-list-maker.

Oh, yummy meals with little fuss.

Like this one from the other day:

Greek chicken and pasta. My family LOVED it. They have also loved the salsa pork chops. In fact, they've been pretty pleased with everything so far.

Every Friday I get the new menu for the week. It looks like this:

And I get a shopping list for the week that looks like this:
And I am a happy, cookin' Mama.

I can think about OTHER things!

I have brain space!

Oh, happy day!

This is not a paid advertisement.

I actually pay them. But I'm okay with that.

I'm off to eat some pinto beans and ham with cornbread.
