Good-bye, Grandpa

Last night Grandpa passed away. Doug was able to see him over the weekend and tell him good-bye. Jake, Abbie and I left for Provo on Monday and went to see him and he was already fading into unconsciousness. On Tuesday we went back with Nick, Sam and Fred. I think the boys were a little shocked at how much he had changed from when they last saw him. He did start failing pretty quickly.

We'll miss you, Grandpa. Thanks for your smiles and for all the hugs. That is one of the things I will remember most, how happy you always were to see any of us, how your face would light up and you would immediately open your arms for a hug! We love you!
