LOTOJA

A week ago today Doug was riding in his second LOTOJA bike race.

He left on Friday to go pick up Nick and Fred, who were his support for the ride since I couldn't do it this year (that is another post...).

And they continued on to LOgan to meet up with the rest of the team.

He seemed pretty calm before he left.

Here at home we hung our Tibetan prayer flags and sent out lots of positive energy to the team.

Doug started on Saturday at o'dark o'clock in the morning

in the chilly LOgan air

with his trusty son-shine-support-team: Nick

and Fred

and mentally prepared himself for the 206 mile ride from LOgan TO JAckson Hole, Wyoming
in one day!!

There were ten riders on the team and they have spent the summer training together.

They had different start times in the morning, but eventually they all caught up with one another and rode as a team. Here they are at one of the stops getting food and water.

And then off they go!

The whole team finished this year and everyone was in pretty good shape at the end.
Doug was feeling rather good, I'd say, after riding from dark to dark!

And here at home we celebrated and prepared to welcome home our Road Warrior!

GREAT JOB!!!
