Girl's Week at Snowbird

Abbie's friend, Elena M. came up to Snowbird on Monday for the week and then the fun really began. These girls were joined at the hip for 6 days! Snowbird has different activities each day for children and they would take off and do the games or crafts, or go swimming or play ping pong or tennis or go to "Turtle Rock" or check out a game from the front desk. Once in awhile they would spend some time in the room, but not if they could help it!

But they did spend girlie time painting their fingernails...

And they checked out different games to play...

I bought them a little tissue paper craft to do...

And at the end of each day they would get their beds ready out on the balcony and fall asleep to the moon rising over the mountain and the sound of the river flowing...

Friday afternoon Sam's friend, Caitlyn, came up for a visit and we all went over to the Snowbird Center because there was a Bar-B-Q cook-off going on and we wanted to check things out. A craft booth had been set up so all the girls made a craft or two...

...including Caitlyn who made something for Sam to use on the 4th of July. Did you get it in the mail, Sam??!

Then we went on a walk/hike on the mountain. We were planning on walking over to the lookout until Abbie and Elena came running back to Caitlyn and me to tell us they saw a cougar or bobcat just above them on the mountain! We had seen something on the mountain on Sunday, from the balcony, so I didn't doubt what the girls said. And that was the end of our walk. But I took a quick photo before we went back!

It was a fun, quick week at Snowbird. It always goes by too fast!
